A day with Velunda

Five quiet minutes that add up to a life.

Every morning, a question to start from, and another one if it doesn’t fit. Templates for mornings, evenings, hard days and big decisions. You’ll never stare at a blank page.

Evening9:15 PM

Let the day go.

Four short questions before bed, and you can skip any of them. Write a word or a page: either way, the day is kept.

Close the day: what stood out about today?

Years laterOn the same day

The past comes back on its own.

Write down a memory with the day it really happened: your first flat, a summer long ago. Every year on that date, Velunda brings it back to you.

A memory remembered from October 26, 2020

Over the monthsYour habits, not a score

See yourself more clearly.

How often you write, what you keep coming back to, how your moods shift over time. All calculated on your device. No streaks to keep, no score to chase.

Insights: days written this week and this month
At the end of the year

A year of your life, in your own words.

At the end of the year, Velunda turns everything you wrote into a print-ready book. Scroll to leaf through one.

The cover

Your title, your name.

Choose a cover in the colours of morning or dusk, and give your year a title of its own.

The first pages

Every day you wrote, at a glance.

A calendar of the whole year opens the book, one square for every day you wrote.

Inside

A chapter for every month.

Each one opens with a line from that month, then every day you wrote, your closing questions and your reflections.

Your drawings

The days you drew, too.

Drawings stay on the page where you made them, with the day they were drawn.

The back cover

And your first words of the year.

The book closes with the very first thing you wrote that year. Made on your device, never uploaded.

iPad and Apple Pencil

Room to write. Space to draw.

On iPad, your calendar sits right beside the page. And on the days words won’t come, pick up Apple Pencil: your drawing stays with the page and ends up in your book.

Questions

Good to know.

Can anyone else read my journal?

No. Velunda has no account and no server of its own. Your journal stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account, where everything you write is end-to-end encrypted.

What happens after the free week?

Writing and editing need the one-time purchase. Everything you’ve already written stays readable, searchable and exportable, whether you buy it or not.

Does it sync between iPhone and iPad?

Yes, through iCloud, when both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account.

Can I take my journal with me?

Yes. Export a backup you can import again, Markdown files, a PDF, or all three in one archive.

Which languages does it speak?

English, Italian, Spanish, French and German.

Your story is worth keeping.
